Baur took the corners that led to Kieran Tierney and Benjamin Nygren scoring in Celtic’s 7-1 win over Hearts. He also forced Jamie McCart into an own goal after beating his man inside the penalty area.
The midfielder scored against Celta Vigo in the Europa League before coming close to another goal against Dundee United on Wednesday night, when Jack Walton saved his close-range effort.
Tony Watt was arguing that Baur deserved more credit even before these figures came out, with Durán’s goals and assists attracting much of the attention.
Durán was on the scoresheet again against Dundee United on Wednesday, taking his tally for the season to 11 in the 2-2 draw.
Kasper Høgh supplied the pass and Durán finished from close range in the 18th minute. He also scored against Motherwell, Hearts and Hibs, making it four Premiership appearances in a row with a goal.
Against United, he began out on the right. Høgh went off at half-time and Durán moved through the middle.
Durán has said he is happy playing alongside Høgh. Chris Sutton questioned Celtic’s decision to use him on the right after watching his winner against Hibs.
