A Russian MMA fighter who killed a five-year-old girl and her mother in a horrific double murder has reportedly been found dead in prison.
Farkhod Rakhimzoda, nicknamed 'Tiger Eyes', was jailed for 23 years in October 2025 after being found guilty of brutally murdering the pair, in a bid to steal cash, a car and a phone.
Rakhimzoda, who was 33, had competed as a featherweight fighter in his native Russia, winning just four of his 10 documented contests. He also worked as a taxi driver, and it was in this role that he met Olga Yaroslavtseva.
After learning that Yaroslavtseva had inherited a "sizable sum" of money, Rakhimzoda put in motion a chilling plan that would cost both the woman and her child their lives.
Rakhimzoda kept in touch with his victims after their initial meeting and was ultimately able to lure them on another journey in his car. It was here that he drove the pair to a secluded spot.
Reports indicate that he first stabbed 39-year-old Olga to death, before later murdering her young daughter. After disposing of their bodies, he made off with cash, a phone and a car, worth a combined 5.5m roubles (just under £50,000).
When friends tried to make contact with Olga and her daughter shortly after their murder, the twisted Rakhimzoda answered a call and told them: "The girls are sleeping, I won’t wake them up."
Shortly afterwards, he switched the device off.
Rakhimzoda then sought to go on the run after investigators launched a manhunt for him. Before fleeing Russia, though, he made contact with his mother-in-law, telling her Olga had attacked him with a knife and that he had been acting in self defence.
When they met, Rakhimzoda handed his mother-in-law bundles of cash, instructing her to use the money to help his wife get a mortgage. Instead, she handed the money straight over to the police.
Rakhimzoda, who was married with two children at the time he committed his vile crimes, was arrested at the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan border five days after his victims were killed. His wife later divorced him prior to his passing.
Russian media has since confirmed his demise, which comes just one year after he was sentenced for double murder and robbery. He never admitted to his guilt, maintaining that the pair's deaths were accidental.
