NBA fans think Bronny James is actually ‘getting better’ after LeBron James was ‘holding him back’

Bronny James has been impressing fans with his performances during the LA Lakers’ preseason games.

James played as a starter for the Lakers in their second preseason game against the Warriors, getting 21 minutes to show his talent.

While he didn’t light up the box score with his scoring, his overall display and comfort on the ball have convinced fans of his improvement.

During the Los Angeles Lakers’ preseason game against the Golden State Warriors, Bronny James was trusted to handle and carry the ball up the court as one of their starting guards.

One play in particular saw James execute an excellent pick-and-roll with Kevon Looney to make space for a mid-range shot that he sank with ease.

This play, along with the rest of his performance, has inspired a lot of confidence among Lakers and other NBA fans in his improvement.

One fan wrote, “Bronny with a real bag now! Year 3 and the handle looks nothing like the rookie tape. The slow cook is working.”

Another fan shared this sentiment, noting, “He’s definitely been getting better. Maybe if he gets more minutes this year, he can make a real impact.”

A third fan suggested LeBron’s departure has helped, claiming, “That’s what happens when he was given time to develop and no longer has the pressure of playing on the same team as his HOF father.”

“He’s gonna be a starter by the end of the year,” wrote a fourth fan, expressing an immense level of confidence in the second-generation star.

A fifth fan suggested LeBron James was “holding him back” with his presence on the Lakers, while a sixth fan claimed Bronny now had a “better pull-up middy than his father.”

And lastly, one final fan tried to bring fans back to earth by pointing out: “Down 20 in an empty arena and this is one of the two shots he hit all night.”

Bronny only scored four points while shooting 2-for-5 from the field, but it was his overall presence on the court that impressed fans. James dished out five assists to help set his teammates up, showing his improvement as both a passer and a ball-carrier.

Perhaps Bronny James will get more opportunities with the Lakers this season to show that he can make a valuable impact for the team.
