New Sporting Globe Lawn comes to Geelong Cup

The Sporting Globe has been building its presence at major sporting events, including a recent activation at the NRL which attracted strong crowds.

The 2026 Ladbrokes Geelong Cup will welcome a new addition this year, with The Sporting Globe Lawn opening in a prime position alongside the winning post.

The new space has been created with the growing younger audience at race days in mind, offering a more relaxed and social way to experience Geelong Cup while still being close to the racing action.

One of the main features will be a new shipping container bar with an upper deck overlooking the home straight, giving guests a great vantage point as the field heads towards the winning post.

The precinct will also include a large private garden with casual seating and umbrellas, with DJs from local venue Dive Bar playing between races throughout the afternoon.

Tickets include a five-hour beverage package and a choice of three meals from The Sporting Globe, with everything included in the ticket price.

The Sporting Globe has been building its presence at major sporting events, including a recent activation at the NRL which attracted strong crowds, and the Geelong Cup partnership brings that sports bar atmosphere to the racecourse.

The new area is part of Geelong Racing Club’s focus on providing different ways to experience Cup Day, particularly for younger racegoers who are drawn to the social side of racing as much as the racing itself.

Getting to and from the event has also been considered, with buses running between South Geelong Station and the racecourse.

Sporting Globe Lawn guests will also have access to transport back into Geelong following the races.

With its winning-post location, private garden, rooftop bar and live DJs, The Sporting Globe Lawn adds something genuinely different to the hospitality offering at this year’s Geelong Cup.

Tickets are $150 per person and are on sale now.

The 2026 Ladbrokes Geelong Cup will be held on 21 October.
