Noche UFC star posts first statement after being knocked out by slam just 36 seconds into debut

Jessie Rosas isn’t discouraged despite an incredibly tough start to his UFC career.
There was no denying that Tommy McMillen and Marwan Rahiki were leaving with the Fight of the Night bonus on Saturday night.
The featherweight class left just two bonus spots open after producing one of the best bouts of the year, one of which was claimed by Jean Silva.
In just the second fight of the night, another $100,000 check was guaranteed following Sean King III’s brutal slam knockout.
A clash of debutants in the featherweight division took place in the second fight of the night at Noche UFC.
After Jessie Rosas had his previously scheduled arrival canceled on short notice, he only recorded 36 seconds of Octagon time due to a devastating knockout.
Sean King III produced a rare slam finish after picking his opponent up and knocked him out cold from the impact that he brought him down with.
Given how brutal the finish was to watch, Rosas didn’t wait long before sending out a message to his supporters to let them know that he’s okay.
“To all the people that are asking, I’m okay,” he wrote on his Instagram story. “[I] Will be back stronger. I’m just blessed to be doing what I love to do. This is MMA, anything can happen in that cage but I’m forever grateful for my family, friends, and loved ones. I will be back.”
Rosas posted another statement shortly after in order to give his opponent credit for the win.
“Congrats to my opponent and his team. It was his night tonight. I will be back, this is only the beginning for me.”
By signing to the UFC, Jessie Rosas has joined his brother, Raul Rosas Jr., on the roster.
While Jessie has suffered a loss before, being defeated on the biggest stage in the sport is something that his sibling already has experience of.
Rosas Jr. was on the end of a big upset in 2023 when Christian Rodriguez beat the young prospect in his second Octagon outing.
Still only 21 years old, the bantamweight has bounced back with five consecutive wins and will be able to use this experience to help guide his brother.
Rosas Jr. commented on his brother’s Instagram post after the fight, writing, “Your story begins here. Proud of you, bro. You did your thing. God’s plan.”
