Northern Railway athletes win 11 medals at Asian Games 2026 for India

Northern Railway showcased its significant contribution to Indian sports at the Asian Games 2026, with 14 athletes representing the nation and securing 11 medals, including 10 gold and one bronze.

Aman won the gold medal in Wrestling (57 kg freestyle). In Kabaddi, Pooja and Ashu Malik contributed gold medals as members of the Indian women’s and men’s teams respectively.

In Hockey, Yashdeep Siwach was part of the Indian men’s team that secured gold, while Neha, Ishika, Shilpi Dabas and Sakshi Rana were members of the Indian women’s team that also won gold medals.

Priya earned a bronze medal in Boxing in the 60 kg category.

Renuka Thakur and Pratika Rawal represented India in women’s Cricket, contributing to the team’s gold medal victory.

Northern Railway was also represented in Cycling by Jemsh Keithellakram and Vishavjeet Singh, and Anish represented the nation in Shooting.

Overall, Northern Railway sportspersons achieved nine gold medals, one bronze medal and three additional representations across various disciplines.

This success is a matter of pride for Northern Railway and the Northern Railway Sports Association (NRSA), highlighting the organisation’s commitment to promoting sports and nurturing talent.
