Notice of Special General Meeting, Tonga Rugby Union Inc.

To: All Members and Eligible Representatives of the Tonga Rugby Union Incorporated

Notice is hereby given that a Special General Meeting (SGM) of the Tonga Rugby Union Incorporated (TRU) will be held on the date, time and at the venue specified above.

The Special General Meeting is convened for the purpose of considering and determining the specific matters set out in this Notice.

In accordance with Clause 5.2.3 of the TRU Constitution, the business of the Special General Meeting is expressly limited to the matters stated in this Notice.

PURPOSE OF THE SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

The SGM will consider the following matters:

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO MEMBERS

Members are requested to ensure that their duly appointed representatives attend the Special General Meeting.

The Constitution provides that a quorum at a General Meeting, including a Special Meeting, consists of at least two-thirds (2/3) of the eligible representatives being present. Proxies are not permitted.

The election of Board Members will be conducted in accordance with the Constitution, including the requirement for a secret ballot and preferential voting.

The nominated candidates' relevant biographical information, work history and curriculum vitae should be circulated to Members in accordance with the Constitution. All nominations must be received by 4:00pm Thursday 8th October 2026, delivered in writing to the TRU Offices at FWC Building, Fasi-moe-Afi or by email governance [at] tonga-rugby [dot] to. Please address the nominations to the Acting Chief Executive Officer.
