RAWALPINDI – Pakistan will face England in the ODI tri-series on home soil for the first time in 17 years. The match is set to take place at 12.30pm PKT.

The Team Green will aim to secure its second consecutive victory as the two teams prepare for a highly anticipated contest.

The upcoming match holds particular significance as Pakistan and England are scheduled to meet in the ODI format for the first time since 2023.

Their return to one-day international cricket in Pakistan after nearly two decades adds further importance to the fixture.

England head coach Brendon McCullum has acknowledged the challenges of playing cricket in the subcontinent, stressing that teams must develop different strategies to adapt to local playing conditions.

McCullum described Pakistan as a strong opponent on home ground and emphasised the need for England to prepare thoroughly for the challenge.

The two sides have faced each other in 92 ODI matches to date. England have won 57 encounters, while Pakistan have recorded 32 victories. Three matches ended without a result.

Pakistan enter the contest after defeating Sri Lanka in the opening match of the series. The team will look to carry that momentum into the clash against England and strengthen its position with another win.

With the return of ODI cricket between the two sides to Pakistani venues after 17 years, the match represents a significant occasion for Pakistan cricket as the hosts seek to continue their winning run.

The ODI tri-series will be beamed live on PCB Live app across Pakistan, United Kingdom, North America, Caribbean, Africa and Europe. In Pakistan, PTV Sports will broadcast the series live, Tapmad and Tamasha will stream the action live.
