Park Bo-gyeom climbs in world rankings

A first KLPGA major title moved Park Bo-gyeom to No. 131 in the women's world golf rankings Tuesday, a gain of 53 places from the previous week.

Park, 28, won the KB Financial Golden Life Championship on Sunday at Blackstone Golf Club in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. Her closing 71 left her at 5-under-par 283, one shot clear of Bang Shin-sil, Park Ye-ji and Yoo Seo-yeon.

The result gave Park four career KLPGA Tour victories, with one in each season since 2023. Her previous titles came at the Kyochon Ladies Open, the Sangsangin-Hankyung Wownet Open and the Blue Canyon Ladies Championship.

Among the runners-up, Yoo entered the world's top 100, rising 29 places to No. 98. Park Ye-ji advanced 48 spots to No. 148.

Elsewhere in the rankings, Kim Min-sol reached a career-high No. 13 after moving up one position. She remained the highest-ranked player on the KLPGA Tour, while Seo Kyo-rim held at No. 30.

Nelly Korda retained the No. 1 ranking ahead of Jeeno Thitikul. South Korea's Ryu Hae-ran and Kim Hyo-joo remained third and fourth, respectively.
