Player who hardly played for Nottingham Forest stars vs European giants

Nottingham Forest have had a number of players on their books since returning to the Premier League almost five years ago.
Some of the players added to the ranks have departed almost as quickly as they signed, with plenty enduring rotten luck at the City Ground.
It’s pretty impossible to get every deal right when it comes to recruitment. Forest have learned lessons in recent times with their purse strings, and on Saturday one player who the Reds fan base might have forgotten about starred against Bayern Munich.
During the 2023/24 campaign, Forest made a fair few errors when it came to recruitment, with Ribeiro proving a very underwhelming addition.
At the time, the striker was relatively untried as a footballer at the top level. He was with Sporting CP, and it always felt like his loan deal would prove nothing more than a short-term fix, with Ribeiro playing just five times for the Reds.
Ribeiro moved to Augsburg in the summer, and the 21-year-old has started well in Germany. On Saturday, he stunned Bayern Munich as he scored to put his team ahead during a 2-2 draw against the champions.
The former Forest loanee now has two goals this season from just five appearances for his new club. He’s busy showcasing that, given his tender years, he still has buckets of potential.
Forest won’t look back on this deal with too many regrets. He rarely showed anything to suggest he could cut it in the Premier League, although it will be intriguing to see just what he manages to achieve during his career.
