Raoni Barcelos’ coach offers positive update after frightening KO to Raul Rosas Jr… ‘Everyone can relax’

It’s good news from Raoni Barcelos’ camp after his worrying knockout tonight in Las Vegas against Raul Rosas Jr.
Barcelos was up on all three scorecards in the UFC Vegas 121 main event and coasting to a decision victory regardless of whether or not he won the fifth round. Unfortunately, he was knocked out while Rosas was scoring a takedown and the fight ended in frightening fashion.
The bantamweight prospect, who turns 22 in October, is targeting a record set by Jon Jones when he won UFC gold at 23 years and 242 days old.
There were conflicting reports of his exit from the octagon, and he was transported to hospital where he underwent a CT Scan. His trainer Davi Ramos has since released a video indicating that he is okay and telling fans they can ‘relax’.
What made Raul Rosas Jr’s knockout win over Raoni Barcelos was the manner of the finish. A relatively routine takedown that was reached with a trip as opposed to an aggressive or hard-hitting slam was the catalyst for his going unconscious.
From the source 🚨 Raoni Barcelos's coach Davi Ramos released a statement after #UFCVegas121.
"Hey guys, Raoni is fine, everything is alright, everyone can stay calm, he just went to do the tomography now, but everything is fine, we are here waiting for him, everyone can stay calm, thanks?"
Fans speculated that he had suffered a particularly serious injury, and that concern multiplied as he was removed from the octagon without regaining consciousness. Rosas Jr used his post-fight interview to ask fans to pray for him, and the signs are now good.
“Hey guys, Raoni is fine, everything is alright, everyone can stay calm,” Barcelos’ trainer told fans in a video on social media that has been translated from Portuguese. “He just went to do the tomography now, but everything is fine, we are here waiting for him, everyone can stay calm, thanks.”
Ariel Helwani of Uncrowned.com has already reported that Barcelos is out of his CT scan, writing on X: “No results yet but he’s able to speak and is able to move his body.”
