Renato Moicano is not happy that his 155-pound showdown with Brian Ortega has been called off (again) at UFC 331.

Moicano vs. Ortega were originally booked to fight at UFC 326 back in March 2026, but Ortega pulled out because of undisclosed injuries. The fight was rebooked for Sept. 19, 2026, in Los Angeles, Calif.; however, yesterday we got news from Ortega that a bad cut above his eye has taken him out of the bout.

So, this is the second time “Money” has been booked to fight “T-City,” and the second time Ortega has withdrawn at the last-minute, leaving Moicano without an opponent to face. In a new video on his YouTube channel, Moicano went off on a lengthy rant against Ortega.

“The fight with Brian Ortega fell through,” Moicano said in Portuguese. “Ortega farted softly, something I didn’t expect at all. Simply put, the easiest fight in the division just slipped through my fingers and I’m already pissed, already angry. But there’s nothing I can do.

“I’m not going to fight at UFC 331,” he continued. “Unfortunately, because of that son of a b--ch, because of that guy who’s a jerk. If you don’t remember, last year I was scheduled to fight him. When he arrived, with one or two weeks left before the fight, he ran away.”
“They said ‘Moicano, aren’t you afraid the fight will fall apart again?’ I said, ‘Dude, there’s absolutely no way Ortega is going to chicken out, there’s absolutely no way this fight isn’t going to happen.’ This is in Los Angeles, his home. This guy is coming off three straight losses. He hasn’t fought in over two years. And this is the second fight he’s withdrawn from with only a week’s notice! And the second fight with me, man! Twice with me!”
“How many days of live streams did I miss, you son of a b--ch?” Moicano asked. “How many days of dieting did I waste just to punch your lazy face, man? And then you just come along and make up an excuse like that.”

”I didn’t want to bring up these personal things here, but in interviews he said it was Tracy Cortez’s fault, that Tracy Cortez was making his life miserable, that he had his problems because of it. And now, brother, in the last two years, in the last three years, what’s the problem? I’m asking, but what I really want for you is to go to hell, man. I don’t even want to know about it.”

“I’m 37, I’m bald, I want to make easy money,” Moicano concluded. “I want to put easy money in my pocket. That’s the truth. Otherwise, f--k off over there.”

While UFC wasn’t able to keep Moicano on UFC 331, it did shift him into the main event of a UFC Apex event on Halloween against 26-year-old up-and-comer, Tom Nolan, who is currently on a five-fight win streak. Whether you consider that easier money than Ortega depends on how washed you think Ortega really is.

But, going from the main card of a major UFC event to the Apex is never great, so we get why Moicano ain’t happy.
