Scott Spiezio, former major leaguer, speaks at Morris church

Scott Spiezio, a former major league baseball player from Morris, speaks at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 5 p.m. The free event includes a hot dog supper. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.

The church is at 200 E. Jackson St.

Spiezio, who played in the majors, will speak about his baseball career, personal challenges, and faith. He’ll sign autographs after 4:30 p.m. Bring something for him to sign, or use a provided card.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required because seating is limited. Call the church at 815-942-1871 or email [email protected] to register.

Registration runs Sept. 16–30.

Wear your favorite baseball gear if you’d like. A free-will offering will support the Grundy Eunoia Wellness Center.
