Sheffield Steelkings host first junior training session

Sheffield Steelkings Para Ice Hockey Club hosted their first official junior training session on Sunday
Para ice hockey is the paralympic equivalent of ice hockey and the Steelkings are the UK's largest para ice hockey club, with two established teams competing in the British Para Ice Hockey League.
The edition of the new junior team seeks to grow the club further and produce the next generation of para ice hockey players. This junior team is the first of it's kind in the UK, with dedicated sessions to allow kids to train and play amongst their peers.
The Steelkings have several current and former team GB players amongst their ranks, and one of the aims of their junior programme is to find, inspire, and train the next generation of potential paralympic athletes.
The Steelkings will be hosting more junior training sessions in the future, so if you know a young person who might be interested in trying out the sport you can contact the club at [email protected] for more information.
