Sophie Cunningham Breaks Silence On The ‘Dumb’ Rumors Surrounding Her Former Podcast Co-Host

Sophie Cunningham just relaunched her podcast with a new name: No Hesitation. But before diving deep into basketball, she wanted to clear the air.

Her former co-host, West Wilson, is out. He was replaced with renowned basketball trainer Drew Hanlen. Cunningham’s new show will focus more on basketball and on analysis of the game.

It will reportedly deviate from the lifestyle-and-reality-TV theme she previously shared with Wilson.

During the Indiana Fever star’s appearance on The Colin Cowherd Podcast, Cunningham revealed the lengthy details on why she and West decided to split up.

“I loved West. I think we had a really fun time together. I know that he’s off doing great things, too. But he was going through some stuff, then I was going through some stuff. Everything was very, you know, main media for both of us for a little bit,” Cunningham said.

“So, I think a lot of people thought that we were going at it. We really weren’t. We were just rebranding. He was going to do his own thing. The Volume was going to take care of him. I wanted to go more basketball. And so, when I first saw it, I was like, ‘This is so goofy.’ And, like, we sent stuff back and forth. Me and Wes were like, ‘These people are just dumb.’ So, um, it was fun. I still love West to death, and I had a great time with him.”

With Drew Hanlen, Cunningham’s new show will focus more on basketball, particularly the WNBA. As a high-IQ player, expect fans to flock and listen to her new podcast.

There’s no doubt that Sophie Cunningham is becoming one of the WNBA’s most recognizable stars. While what she previously stated regarding transgender athletes may or may not be controversial, that’s what shoved her into the spotlight.

Moreover, we can’t deny that now she’s in the spotlight, she’s capitalizing on her opportunity, which really isn’t a bad thing.

“I think, honestly, that is why I wanted to, first of all, I thought of a great business opportunity with the WNBA. Like, there is no really good WNBA podcast, really, WNBA that strictly talks about basketball and, like, all the great things that it has in the WNBA. And so I was like, why are we not talking more like this?” Cunningham said.

Many of her fans have already lauded the change. And Drew Hanlen as her co-host certainly did not hurt her chances. Hanlen has previously trained NBA stars like Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Haliburton, and Tyrese Maxey.
