DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Students from two Duluth private schools are teaming up for certain sports.

Stella Maris and Duluth Marshall made the announcement after both school boards gave their approval.

The sports cooperative will include girls basketball, baseball, softball, boys lacrosse and high school robotics.

By combining resources, the schools hope to strengthen programs and give more opportunities to students.

The Minnesota State High School League still needs to give its approval.

Stella Maris has been adding its own sports teams since opening its high school several years ago.
