Steph Curry's wife Ayesha celebrates major career first with new holiday movie

Ayesha Curry has something extra special to celebrate this holiday season.

The wife of Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry, who's already a successful cookbook author, entrepreneur, and mother of four, has scored her first leading movie role.

The 37-year-old NBA WAG will star in the upcoming holiday rom-com "Second Chance Holiday," which premieres Nov. 5 on The Roku Channel.

This isn't Ayesha's first brush with acting.

She first pursued Hollywood as a teenager, landing small roles in "Hannah Montana" with Miley Cyrus, "Gary Unmarried," and "Good Luck Charlie," before turning her attention to family life.

In recent years, Ayesha starred in Netflix's 2024 romantic comedy "Irish Wish" alongside actress Lindsay Lohan, "A Black Lady Sketch Show," and "GOAT."

This time, however, she's stepping into the spotlight as the film's leading lady for the very first time.

Ayesha plays the role of Chelsey, a relationship expert who can't seem to figure out her own life.

She's great at helping others find love, but has a bad habit of getting dumped every year around the holidays.

Things take an unexpected turn when Chelsey reconnects with her high school sweetheart, played by "Shadowhunters" actor Matthew Daddario.

"It’s an honor to be part of Second Chance Holiday alongside such a talented cast and crew," Curry told the Hollywood Reporter. "There’s something truly magical about holiday rom-coms."

"They invite you into these charming, cozy worlds where anything feels possible. Chelsey is such a fun, heartfelt character that I fell in love with while bringing her to life. I hope audiences fall in love with her too and enjoy Second Chance Holiday this holiday season," she added.
