Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors' star player, might be one the greatest athletes that the world has ever seen but he has also been a smart businessman. Stephen Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, have set up multiple ventures together and regularly partner with luxury brands. Amid this, the NBA legend has reflected on his $400 million deal.

A few days ago, in an interview with NBC Sports Bay Area, the star player Stephen Curry opened up about signing a $400 million deal with Chinese sneaker company, Li-Ning, as he said, “A new energy…”

The Golden State Warriors’ star player added, “They’re an incredible innovation engine and machine that I want to tap into to express my love for the game at all levels. Whether you’re an aspiring amateur professional like me, or you’re just getting into the game, there’s a space out here for everybody. I’m excited about that journey.”Stephen Curry also continued, “That’s something that was really important for this partnership, to think about the future – not just while I’m still playing basketball…”The four time NBA champion added, “Ayesha’s getting into the game a little bit, my kids are getting into the game, so you want to have an expression for everybody to enjoy themselves out here and enjoy the fun in golf.”

For the unversed, back in November 2025, Stephen Curry sparked shockwaves when he ended his decade long contract with Under Armor. After a few months, the four time NBA champion Stehen Curry announced his partnership with the Chinese sneaker company, Li-Ning, sparking a heated debate.

While some criticised his decision and trolled him, others felt it was a smart business move by Stephen Curry. However, the NBA legend has kept himself away from all the speculations as he has kept his focus on the court.

Ahead of the new season, in an interview with The Athletic, Stephen Curry reflected on the upcoming season as he weighed in on Moses Moody and Jimmy Butler’s return from their long-term injuries as he said, “You hope that they both come back healthy. And we can play at a level that keeps us relevant and competitive and builds a foundation so that we can figure out what it looks like.”He added, “But that is the situation. We don’t live in any alternative universe.” “Sure. I’m hopeful for all the creative ideas of getting the best team possible. We had those conversations. But when you have injuries at the top like that, it’s always gonna change.”Stephen Curry has also spent some time in recovery as he gears up for the new season.
