The Prince of Tennis II U-17 World Cup: Final Member Selection Match will premiere on Crunchyroll on September 30th, 2026. The new official trailer also confirmed its place in the Fall 2026 seasonal lineup.

This Fall 2026 season is shaping up to be the biggest quarter of the year. 2026 has already been exciting with the return of major shows like Jujutsu Kaisen and Frieren: Beyond Journeys End. Now The Prince of Tennis joins that list.

The anime streams across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and the Indian subcontinent. Crunchyroll confirmed an English dub is coming, but the date is not yet revealed.

Expect the English dub around two weeks after the subbed release, as that is typical for most Crunchyroll anime, even popular ones. The exact streaming time will be announced shortly before the premiere. Fans can catch up on previous seasons now streaming on the platform.

The series returns after two years, and the trailer shows the animation quality is better than ever. This season is especially significant because it is the first anime season after the manga finale.

The Prince of Tennis is one of the longest-running series on Shonen Jump since the manga was split into two parts. Even the sequel manga reached its finale this year, wrapping up the story 27 years after its debut.

Despite being huge in Japan, the anime did not gain enough recognition in the U.S. However, since it is highly likely the anime will adapt the full story, viewers have plenty of chance to appreciate the series as one of the best in Shonen Jump.

While the main story is over, the anime still has a huge chunk of story left to adapt. The Semifinal focuses on the match against the German national team as they try to reach the finals for the first time in Japans tennis history.

The upcoming season will directly pick up from where the story left off. Team Japan players face off against their old rivals to earn spots in the lineup for the World Cup final.

With the manga now complete after 27 years, this season marks a new chapter for the franchise. The Final Member Selection Match promises intense action as the players fight for their places on the world stage.
