‘The truth is’… Ex-UFC heavyweight settles MMA fighter vs chimp debate with brutally honest prediction

Brendan Schaub has no doubt about how he’d fare in a fight with a chimpanzee.
The former UFC heavyweight spent years trading shots with some of the baddest men on the planet.
11 years on from his MMA retirement, ‘Big Brown’ broke down his chances in a fight with a 100lb wild animal.
MMA fighter Cole Johnson believes he could beat up a full-grown chimpanzee and he's ready to prove it.
Brendan Schaub spent 10 minutes speaking about the MMA fighter vs chimpanzee debate during the latest episode of his podcast, The Fighter and The Kid.
The former comedian joked about being able to beat up an ‘old and weathered’ chimpanzee before ending the debate with his brutal prediction.
“MMA fighters saying they can beat a chimp is kind of like comics doing crowd work these days,” Schaub said.
“It’s just a topic. It’s the trendy thing to do.
“The truth is, a chimp would f—ing rip your face off.
“It’s all good, dude. Who gives a f—?”
1-0 amateur MMA fighter Cole Johnson recently claimed he was going to fight a chimpanzee.
A website was set up with a countdown to the bizarre—and illegal—matchup, which was scheduled for September 11.
Scientists warned the fighter, who is also known as Wavy MMA, that he could suffer ‘catastrophic’ injuries and potentially die if he confronts a chimpanzee.
In the end, Johnson revealed the fight was never happening and was essentially a cryptocurrency hoax.
“One million people tuned into a live stream wanting to see me get f—ing mauled by a chimpanzee, and we rick-rolled everyone,” he said.
“F—ing write it in the history books, boys.
“I’m the biggest troll on the internet, motherf—er.”
