'They're beatable': Daryl Powell says Wigan Warriors' Super League title bid is no foregone conclusion

The Warriors have emerged as red-hot favourites to win a third Super League title in four years at Old Trafford next month after reeling off 16 straight wins.
But Trinity's recent performance in defeat at Wigan has given Powell reason to think they could cause a major upset in the play-offs.
"I think they're beatable, yeah," said the Wakefield boss, whose side must first negotiate Friday night's eliminator against Leigh Leopards. "But nobody is going to beat them easily.
"They might say they dropped off a little bit the last time we played them but we needed to win the second half to give ourselves some real belief.
"I felt we won the initial arm wrestle but gave a try away and then had one disallowed, which was preposterous.
"We've given ourselves a chance in our heads, more than anything, that no matter where we go, we'll be alright."
Trinity earned home advantage for the do-or-die clash with the Leopards after securing a top-four finish for the first time in Super League history.
Wakefield head into the post-season on the back of three straight wins, including timely victories over play-off rivals Warrington Wolves and Leigh.
Powell is optimistic about his side's chances of walking out at Old Trafford on October 3.
"I don't see any reason why not," he said. "All the work you put in gets you to here with a chance to have a crack at it.
"They're all tough challenges. We've got Leigh first up and have got to get through that. Then you're away against either Wigan or Leeds.
"I feel like we've had a fair dig at Leeds this year. They were a bit too good the last time we played them there but I just feel like we've learned so many lessons and grown this year.
"Three unbelievable performances and you've got a chance, haven't you? Anyone who is in there has a chance of winning it. If we believe – and I think that's grown – we've got the personnel to make it happen."
