Tom Aspinall targeted in x-rated rant by UFC Noche star who isn’t happy the champion still isn’t back

Tom Aspinall has found himself on the end of a verbal attack from one of his fellow heavyweights.
It has now been almost a year since Tom Aspinall last stepped foot in the UFC Octagon when he suffered a brutal eye injury at the hands of Ciryl Gane.
Since then, the Englishman has undergone several surgeries in an attempt to fix his ongoing eye injuries which have kept him sidelined.
And recently, UFC boss Dana White provided another update on Aspinall’s injury, claiming he is still injured, which has angered fellow heavyweight, Waldo Cortes-Acosta.
The UFC heavyweight champion is yet to be cleared to return from the eye injuries he suffered almost a year ago.
This coming weekend, the premier promotion returns to Arizona for another iteration of Noche UFC, headlined by a featherweight clash between Jean Silva and Jose Delgado.
Also on the main card is a heavyweight clash between ‘Salsa Boy’ and former interim title challenger, Curtis Blaydes, as both fighters look to return to the win column.
Although White has maintained the opinion that the heavyweight division will continue moving without Aspinall, Cortes-Acosta has gone in on the champion, calling him a ‘p—-‘ for having still not returned.
“Yeah, it’s a lot of frustration to see the champion be like this,” Cortes-Acosta said during the Noche UFC media day.
“He knows that he needs to come back and fight with Ciryl Gane, I think he, sorry for the language barrier, he’s got a p—- and I think having a long time to heal and come back to fight for the title, but this is not the champion. For me this is not the champion.
“For me the champion is a someone who has a problem, fixes it and tries to come back, fights and is a warrior, not to be a p—-, I don’t know where he is, trying to hide because he doesn’t want to fight Ciryl Gane,” he continued.
Twice now Cortes-Acosta has been on the precipice of a title shot, but he has come up short in what seemed to be his number one contender fights.
At this point, it is still unclear when Aspinall will return to action despite his comments earlier this year that he would be ready to return in September.
