Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua official promoter confirmed with Dana White omitted from paperwork

Zuffa Boxing, TKO and Dana White were omitted from the official paperwork confirming the promoters for the super fight.
Despite Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua finally facing off this past Wednesday at their first press conference, confusion regarding some small details still surrounded the fight.
One of the details that continues to cause confusion is who will promote the fight, as Dana White was said to be the promoter in Netflix’s official press release last week.
However, the Zuffa Boxing boss was not named at the beginning of the press conference when the list of promoters were announced, and now, the official confirmation has been released by the British Board of Control.
Will Joshua's huge KO power prevail, or will 'The Gypsy King's' elite footwork and movement give him the edge?
Although the UFC boss wasn’t mentioned by Michael Buffer in the promoter list, he was given a shoutout by Turki Alalshikh, which resulted in White’s name being loudly booed by boxing fans.
The 57-year-old claimed that he didn’t attend the press conference because of his duty at Dana White’s Contender Series on Tuesday, and instead, the press conference was attended to by TKO director, Nick Khan.
Now, though, almost 24 hours removed from the first press conference, the official promoters list has been confirmed by the British Board of Control, and White, Zuffa Boxing and TKO have been omitted from the paperwork.
The BBOC confirmed that Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn, Frank Warren’s Queensberry and Saudi Arabia’s SELA will be the three promoters of the event, while TKO/Zuffa/White were not in the paperwork for the fight, nor is it a promoter of the show as things currently stand.
The official promoters of Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua have been confirmed by the BBBoC:
– Matchroom Boxing– Queensberry Promotions– SELA
Zuffa Boxing were not listed on paperwork for the contest.
Following the press conference, Joshua threatened to pull the plug on the fight if White did somehow take up a role as a promoter, claiming that he would stay loyal to Hearn by withdrawing from the bout.
Fortunately though for boxing fans, that isn’t expected to happen, despite the fact that White may end up finding himself involved in the fight in at least some capacity. At this point, it is assumed that White will act as a ‘personal advisor’ to Turki Alalshikh, but his promotion Zuffa Boxing won’t be involved.
