Tyson Fury woken up for first drug test just hours before first face-off with Anthony Joshua

Tyson Fury has submitted his first drug test ahead of his clash against Anthony Joshua.
Just last week, Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua was finally announced by Netflix, with the fight scheduled to take place on December 11 from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
Shortly after the official confirmation, though, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn claimed that the fight still wasn’t actually confirmed as he questioned Netflix’s press release.
Hearn and Joshua threatened to cancel the fight due to Dana White’s involvement in the promotion, but things have now fortunately seemingly been ironed out, and it is back on track to finally take place.
Netflix has announced that the UFC CEO will co-promote the monumental event in Cardiff – but Eddie Hearn insists that is not happening.
The Zuffa Boxing and UFC boss’ involvement in the fight wasn’t the only thing that Joshua and Hearn were concerned about, though, as the Matchroom promoter recently surfaced his concern regarding the drug-testing protocol.
The drug-testing is to be overseen by VADA, and according to Hearn, they were supposed to begin drug-testing at the beginning of contract exchanges, but he claimed that ‘The Gypsy King’ hadn’t, to no fault of his own.
Despite that and the ongoing concerns on the side of Joshua, according to reports online, Fury was woken this morning in his hotel room in London to provide his first drug test ahead of the fight. This comes just hours before the heavyweight rivals are scheduled for their first face-off, as they are set to meet on stage at their first press conference from the British Airways Arc in London at 6PM BST.
Hearn threatened to delay the press conference a few days ago due to White’s involvement in the fight, which is still yet to be confirmed what his actual role will be.
It is set to go ahead, though, after White confirmed he won’t be attending the presser, claiming that because of his responsibilities in the UFC and Dana White’s Contender Series, he couldn’t make it to London.
From the source Understand that Tyson Fury was woken up early this morning in London for VADA testing and now has officially enrolled. #FuryJoshua
It is assumed that Joshua will have also been awoken from his sleep to provide a drug test, but that has not been confirmed as of yet.
