The dust is still settling on the US Open, which provided no shortage of entertainment during its two-week run in New York. Two new champions were crowned over the weekend, with Elena Rybakina beating Aryna Sabalenka in the women's final before Alexander Zverev prevailed over Ben Shelton in the men's final.
Sabalenka was visibly furious during her defeat to Rybakina and even smashed her racket at one point before launching into a foul-mouthed outburst at a nearby camera operator. Zverev, meanwhile, was accused of taking too long to serve against Shelton, who was left frustrated by the German's meticulous routine.

Zverev responds to Shelton complaint
Zverev has issued a response to Shelton's complaints about the length of time he took when serving in the final, admitting that he might have overdone it a little bit.
Speaking to ABC, he said: "I think I have to criticise myself. It was a bit extreme this tournament. Normally I am one of the faster players, I don’t usually take my time.
"But I am still always within the time frame, so at the end of the day, you can do whatever you want within the actual 24 seconds of serving, but it was a bit extreme, I have to admit that."
Shelton also called for the introduction of a shot clock on second serves, with players currently given unlimited time despite being restricted to just 25 seconds on their first serve.

Sabalenka has been punished by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) after reacting angrily following her defeat to Rybakina.
She smashed her racket and hit a ball into the crowd at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, which earned her a code violation.
A fine of £5,559 ($7,500) has since been handed down to Sabalenka, who has also been replaced by Rybakina at the top of the WTA rankings.
However, that won't make a dent on the Belarusian's earnings from the tournament, given that she received over £2million ($2.8m) as the runner-up.
Ben Shelton is poised to return to action at the Davis Cup this weekend (Image: Getty)
Shelton has posted on social media for the first time since losing the men's singles final, with the 23-year-old already looking forward to representing his country in the Davis Cup.
He wrote: "Most fun two weeks of my life. I left absolutely everything out there on the court, and despite being gutted about losing yesterday, I’m more motivated than I’ve ever been.
"On my way to Prague to play for USA vs Czech this week. Let’s get a dub for the US. [Alexander Zverev] congrats on your second Slam this year.”
Shelton is also due to play for Team World at the upcoming Laver Cup, which takes place in London next weekend.
