USF hires former SDSU standout Paige Meyer

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The University of Sioux Falls announced two changes to the women’s basketball coaching staff, including the hiring of former SDSU standout Paige Meyer.
The university made the announcement via a news release on Wednesday afternoon.
Meyer has been named an assistant coach, while Shawn Bergan has been promoted to assistant coach. This will be his 12th season with the program.
Meyer played four seasons at SDSU from 2021 to 2025. She was a four-time All-Summit League selection, tallying 1,417 career points and 493 career assists. She earned a three-point percentage of 43.3%, which is the best in program history.
The Jackrabbits went 115-25 during Meyer’s career, reaching three NCAA Tournaments.
“Paige did a great job in the interview process and you can tell she is hungry to get her coaching career started. After watching her for years and getting a chance to meet her, I couldn’t be more excited to work beside her this season and understand she will have a very bright future as a college basketball coach,” head coach Travis Traphagen said in the release.
USF opens the season at Nebraska Kearney on Monday, Nov. 9.
