by Kyle Silagyi · September 25, 2026
Walt Disney World naturally has a longstanding relationship with the nearby University of Central Florida, with synergies and partnerships between the two manifesting in various forms over the years.
Their association will now be seen by national audiences each week. The UCF Knights football program announced on Friday that Walt Disney World is its new helmet sponsor.

The Walt Disney World wordmark will appear on the back of the team’s helmet for each remaining game of the 2026 season. The new lid will debut this Saturday when the Knights open Big 12 play against the TCU Horned Frogs at the Acrisure Bounce House.
“Walt Disney World is part of the fabric of Central Florida, and we are incredibly proud to feature its logo on our football helmets,” UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir said via the university’s website.
“This relationship brings together two organizations with deep roots in our community, tremendous national reach and a shared belief in creating memorable experiences.”
Disney first sponsored the UCF football program in 2019, striking a “magical partnership.” That deal encompassed “shared marketing opportunities, in-game promotions at UCF home football games, and Disney signage” inside UCF’s stadium.
“UCF is an important part of our community, and we are proud to expand on our longstanding relationship in a way that celebrates the spirit of Central Florida,” Sivonne Davis, Vice President of Marketing Strategy at Walt Disney World Resort, said of the new sponsorship.
“We are excited to see the Walt Disney World logo on the Knights’ helmets as they compete for the Big 12 Conference championship and beyond.”
UCF writes that the sponsorship will “[create] new opportunities for Walt Disney World and UCF Athletics to engage Knights fans and celebrate the people, energy, and experiences that make Central Florida one of the country’s most vibrant regions.”
You’ll be able to spot the new decal at home this week. Saturday’s game will air on FS1.
The Walt Disney Company currently sponsors a few sports teams. Earlier this month, Disneyland was revealed as the official helmet sponsor of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks.
Disney originally owned the team, with the NHL granting The Walt Disney Company an expansion franchise in late 1992. The team is, of course, named after Disney’s Mighty Ducks franchise.
The company sold the Ducks in 2005.
Disney has also sponsored the NBA’s Orlando Magic, in some form, since 2010. The company became the team’s official jersey sponsor in 2017.
