Watch UFC heavyweight’s awkward interaction with Floyd Mayweather after denied request

UFC heavyweight Sean Sharaf had a very awkward interaction with Floyd Mayweather recently.
In a few weeks time, UFC heavyweight Sean Sharaf will compete at UFC 331 when he takes on the extremely popular Gable Steveson.
‘The Smoke’ Sharaf is currently on a two fight losing streak since signing with the premier promotion, and with a loss against Steveson, he will find himself in a precarious position.
And ahead of his fight in which he finds himself as the huge underdog, the 33-year-old had a bit of an awkward interaction with boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather.
‘Money’ Mayweather has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons over the past year as he continues to face rumors of issues regarding his finances.
He was supposed to be returning to the ring to take on Manny Pacquiao but that fight seemingly fell through despite having been announced by Netflix.
And ahead of Sharaf’s clash against Steveson on September 19, the heavyweight ran into Mayweather in what was an impromptu and awkward meeting.
During their interaction, Sharaf asked Mayweather to say ‘Free Palestine’, but the legendary boxer refrained from doing so.
“September 19 he got a fight coming up,” Mayweather said as he promoted Sharaf’s fight.
“Yes sir, Staples Center. Yes sir,” Sharaf answered.
“Staples Center, I’ll be watching, go hard,” Mayweather continued.
“I appreciate it. Can I get a free Palestine?” Sharaf requested.
“A who?” Mayweather answered.
“Free Palestine, brother. I’m Palestinian,” Sharaf replied.
“Ok, good luck with everything you’re doing, I’m behind you,” Mayweather responded as he avoided the request.
Of course, there were a lot of comments from fans and fellow professional fighters regarding Mayweather’s refusal to say what he was asked to.
Sean Strickland was one of the fighters who shared his reaction, saying: “No 7k.”
