What Deion Sanders immediately did after Panthers’ sudden decision to waive Shedeur’s sworn-brother

Deion Sanders decided to step in after the Carolina Panthers decided to waive wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr.
Jimmy Horn Jr.’s connection to the Sanders family runs deep, as Shedeur Sanders has called him his brother since their time together in Colorado.
While both Jimmy and Shedeur have made it to the NFL, their career paths have been different. In fact, Horn Jr. was recently waived by the Carolina Panthers following a costly mistake against the Chicago Bears.
After the announcement, Shedeur’s father and NFL legend Deion Sanders decided to step in.
Despite the Panthers having a good reason to waive Horn Jr. after dropping a punt in the second quarter vs. the Bears, Coach Prime tried to console Shedeur’s sworn brother.
“I made some calls to him, immediately. I love Jimmy. Jimmy’s a great, great kid. I don’t understand, and I hate questioning management because I’m not there, but this kid is a great human being,” Sanders said.
He added, “Okay, he dropped the punt. Okay, I get it. I understand. But if you just wanted to get rid of him, it wasn’t about character.”
If Coach Prime’s judgment is correct, Horn Jr. isn’t a bad presence in the locker room and this could mean he may find his next NFL opportunity sooner rather than later.

But for now, Horn Jr. remains without a team following his costly mistake in the 59-37 defeat at the hands of the Bears.
