Ulster are clearly preparing to have a cut off Bulls in Pretoria this lunchtime - they have put eight Ireland squad members into the frontline.
Under pressure coach Richie Murphy's side has yet to win this season and two draws and a loss has the side sitting 11th in the table
This ahead of difficult games away and against South Africa's top two clubs, Bulls and Stormers.
There may be a reckoning should Ulster run to five URC games without a win and bringing the threat of failing to make the Champions Cup for a second season.
Ulster's post November URC games are not that easy either Cardiff away, Ospreys home, Connacht home and Leinster away
Consequently Jacob Stockdale, Stuart McCloskey and Julian Benson - albeit at second-centre and not out-half - have been named in the three-quarters for the=is Bulls game.
While similarly Ireland-drafted Tom O'Toole, Tom Stewart, Cormac Izuchukwu and Nick Timony will be among the forwards.
The decision to start Benson at no13 sees Jack Murphy in the out-half berth alongside the eighth of the eight Ireland call-ups Nathan Doak at scrum-half.
In-form South African Juarno Agustus, reprises his Man of the Match role at no8 in last week's game at Zebre.
The bench is a 6:2 split with forwards Henry Walker, Eric O’Sullivan, Scott Wilson, Eli Snyman, James McNabney and James McKillop with Matthew Devine and Jake Flannery as the backline cover.
It was difficult to gauge the Bulls' Champions Cup win over Stade Francais as the French side travelled with a largely second string.
Somewhat unusually as far as mix'n'match goes the home side have selected the same backs but changed all eight starting forwards.
Of this 'new' pack, skipper and former Ulster player Marcel Coetzee, Gerhard Steenekamp, Johan Grobbelaar and Elrigh Louw are Springbok internationals.

Ulster Coach Richie Murphy on a good away win last weekend as preparation: "It's was a massive win for us to the start of the European campaign, obviously. To pick up five points away is huge. I thought the way we started the game was excellent. We controlled field position, although we kicked really accurately and applied pressure on the opposition, which is really satisfying from our point of view.
“We lost our way a little bit in the second half, but any time that we came under pressure, we managed to find a score in order to keep that advantage of three tries. The difference with the new bonus point system makes sure that you play right to the end of the game, so I was really happy to hold on to the three-try advantage late on.
