Talks are reportedly underway for a blockbuster fight between boxing stars Floyd Mayweather and Ryan Garcia. Garcia has confirmed that an offer has been made for the potential showdown. However, the 28-year-old has made one condition clear.

He does not want an exhibition fight.

Garcia wants Mayweather’s famous 50-0 professional record to be on the line.The possible fight would bring together two fighters from very different stages of their careers. Mayweather is approaching his 50th birthday and has been retired from professional boxing since 2017. The young star sent a direct message to Mayweather on X.

He wrote, “Okay Floyd let’s see how much you love that ‘0’.”

Garcia later made his position even clearer. He said he would not agree to an exhibition bout against the former five-weight world champion.“And no I wouldn’t do an exhibition I want his 0 on the f—ing line. How much does he actually think he got left. I’m ready Floyd, remember you made this call. I’m just returning the favor. Offer is on the table. Accept or not, if not I move forward as I have been”, he tweeted.

Mayweather retired with a perfect 50-0 professional record after defeating Conor McGregor in 2017. The victory came in the second-biggest boxing event in history at the time.Since retirement, Mayweather has remained active through exhibition contests. He has travelled around the world for lucrative appearances and fights. His exhibition opponents have included Logan Paul and Aaron Chalmers.
