The 21-man squads are in for Saturday’s Super League play-off semi-final between Wigan Warriors and Wakefield Trinity
Wigan Warriors v Wakefield Trinity team news as Matt Peet makes two changes to 21-man squad

The Warriors welcome back strike centre Jake Wardle, who has missed the last two matches with a calf injury he sustained in training.

Homegrown talent Jack Farrimond also comes back into the 21-man squad, having not played since Wigan’s win over St Helens at Magic Weekend on July 5 due to a hamstring injury.

The aforementioned duo replace prop Sam Eseh and youngster Josh Cartwright in Peet’s 21-man squad that defeated Catalans Dragons to secure the League Leaders’ Shield a fortnight ago.

Meanwhile, Wakefield have named a 20-man squad for their trip to the Brick Community Stadium, with coach Daryl Powell making a number of changes to his side that defeated Leigh Leopards 26-16 in the play-off eliminators last Friday.

Wakefield’s recent arrival Emre Guler has seen his season come to a premature end. The Turkey international was sent off against Leigh, and following an unsuccessful appeal, his ban was increased to three matches.

Trinity welcome back fullback Josh Rourke (knee) and winger Jayden Myers (head injury protocol), who are in contention to face Wigan. Jordan Williams and Kian McGann both drop out of Powell’s extended squad.

The winner of Saturday’s clash will face the winner of Friday’s semi-final between Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves in the Grand Final at Old Trafford on Saturday, October 3.

Wigan: Jai Field, Zach Eckersley, Adam Keighran, Jake Wardle, Liam Marshall, Bevan French, Harry Smith, Ethan Havard, Brad O’Neill, Luke Thompson, Junior Nsemba, Liam Farrell, Kaide Ellis, Sam Walters, Patrick Mago, Ollie Partington, Jack Farrimond, Kian McDermott, Taylor Kerr, Austin Daniel, Shea O’Connor.

Wakefield: Max Jowitt, Cameron Scott, Corey Hall, Tom Johnstone, Jake Trueman, Mason Lino, Mike McMeeken, Tyson Smoothy, Ky Rodwell, Jazz Tevaga, Jay Pitts, Caleb Hamlin-Uele, Caius Faatili, Harvey Smith, Isaiah Vagana, Lachlan Walmsley, Jack Sinfield, Jayden Myers, Josh Rourke, Zac Lipowicz.

The Super League play-off semi-final takes place at the Brick Community Stadium on Saturday evening, 5:30pm kick-off. The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and BBC Two.
