WWE’s plans for Australia PLE’s revealed as one of the ‘big four’ could head down under

WWE is currently tapping into markets across the world and the product itself is arguably bigger than ever before.

In recent times we’ve seen WWE host huge events across the world in places like the UK, Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia and Australia.

Under the leadership of Triple H and Nick Khan, WWE really has travelled the globe and this past weekend’s success in Mexico was another example of just how much the company can contribute to a region.

Of course, going to Australia is quite the journey for the WWE superstars but having had huge success in Perth in recent years, it looks like that partnership is going to be extended.

Australia has welcomed some huge sporting events in recent times with big success.

As well as WWE, the ‘The Land Down Under’ also welcomes golf and Formula 1 to huge fanfare, so it’s little surprise to see WWE tapping into the market as well.

Now, according to Fightful Select, Australia could be about to be rewarded with one of WWE’s flagship events.

It’s suggested that the company is currently keeping space in the calendar for a big PLE in Australia, with suggestions it could be one of the ‘big four’.

As it stands, both the Royal Rumble and Survivor Series are the favourites to get the nod, with SummerSlam and WrestleMania having different plans for now.

Nevertheless, this is huge news for fans in Australia and to be fair, WWE in general.

The company shows no sign of slowing down just yet and adding major PLEs to the international schedule is just another example of its growth.
