Zimbabwe Sables name strong squad for Namibia clash

The Zimbabwe Rugby Union has announced the matchday 23 for the Sables’ highly anticipated clash against Namibia this Saturday at the National Sports Stadium.

Head Coach Pieter Benade has named a formidable lineup for the 15:00 kickoff, highlighted by the return of skipper Hilton Mudariki. Mudariki, who will wear the number 9 jersey, makes his comeback from injury to lead the side in what is expected to be a physical encounter.

Mudariki will pair up with fly-half David Hayes in the halves, while Aiden Burnett provides vice-captaincy support from the number 8 position.

In the front row, Deanne Makoni, Liam Larkan, and Munashe Mhere will look to set the platform, with Gary Porter and Godwin Mangenje locking down the second row.

The backline features pace and power, with Trevor Gurwe and Darrel Makwasha on the wings, while Tapiwa Mafura anchors the defense at fullback.

The bench offers significant impact, including a potential debut for Ishmael Bara, who is marked with an asterisk on the team sheet.
