Donald Trump has confirmed his next college football appearance, announcing he will attend the highly anticipated matchup between Georgia and Alabama in Tuscaloosa next week.

President Trump, 80, made the announcement during an event in Mobile, Alabama, on Friday night, six days after attending the Texas-Tennessee game in Knoxville, where the No. 1 Longhorns defeated the No. 14 Volunteers 20-17 to preserve their unbeaten record (4-0) on the season.

The 45th and 47th President of the United States will head to Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 10, for the storied rivalry matchup between Alabama and Georgia. It comes asTrump says he can't bear to watch the NFL because of a "ridiculous" rule.

"We love Alabama," Trump declared at Friday's midterm campaign rally at the University of South Alabama's Mitchell Center. "In fact, we love it so much [that] I'll be here again next Saturday to watch a football game between Georgia and Alabama.

"They say it's gonna be a good game. I would think so. So let's see, one is rated number two, one's rated number seven, but that doesn't matter too much at this stage. So let's say, will Alabama or Georgia win that game?"

Met with immediate cheers for Alabama, Trump responded, "I thought you'd say that," clearly relishing the enthusiastic reception from the approximately 8,000 supporters gathered at the venue.

Next weekend's clash between No. 2 Georgia and No. 7 Alabama will represent the 77th encounter between these SEC rivals and the seventh straight year they have faced each other, including two matchups in 2025.

The two programs first locked horns in a regular-season contest on Sept. 27, when Alabama triumphed 24-21 at Sanford Stadium in Athens, before Georgia exacted revenge in the SEC Championship Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Dec. 6, claiming a 28-7 victory.

Both the Bulldogs and the Crimson Tide must first navigate their own challenges this weekend, however, before their highly anticipated showdown in seven days. The former faces fellow rival Vanderbilt, while the latter confronts a demanding road trip to No. 16 Mississippi State.

Depending on the results of those two contests, their standings and seasonal momentum may shift, though that is unlikely to diminish what promises to be another compelling matchup for the president to attend.

Last week in Knoxville, Tennessee, Trump watched Texas maintain its No. 1 ranking and advance to 4-0 on the season with a 20-17 win over No. 14 Tennessee before a crowd of 101,915 at Neyland Stadium.

This follows his attendance at the College Football Playoff National Championship Game between Indiana and Miami in January, when the Republican was met with loud jeers as cameras focused on him at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

President Trump was also in attendance at Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden in June, and subsequently attended the FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina at MetLife Stadium in July, where he presented Spain with the trophy following their victory.
