The route uses several historic carriage roads and a footpath, including Lake Minnewaska, Millbrook Mountain, Hamilton Point, Castle Point Carriage Roads, the Meadows trails, and back on Lake Minnewaska Carriage Road.

Meet at the Lake Minnewaska Visitor Center at Minnewaska State Park Preserve.
