Jatin, Saanvi Are Table Tennis Champions

Hyderabad:Jatin Dev and Sri Saanvi emerged champions in the Girls and Boys Under-19 categories respectively at the State Ranking Table Tennis Championship held at the Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.

In the boys’ final, Jatin defeated Hriaan with a 11-8, 15-13, 8-11, 12-10, 12-10 scoreline while Saanvi beat Rithisha with a 11-7, 11-6, 11-3, 11-6 verdict for the girls title.

In the men’s singles category Mohammed Ali beat Swarnendu Chowdhary 11-9, 11-6, 11-8, 13-11 for the title while K. Sri Saanvi took the women’s trophy by defeating B. V. Mahima Krishna 9-11, 11-5, 11-7, 11-5, 9-11, 11-9 in the title round.

Boys U-11: Shobhik Jain (GSM) bt Jatin Jairam (SGUTTA) 3-2 — 9-11, 11-7, 11-7, 3-11, 11-7. Girls: Riya Shaik (SGUTTA) bt Adhira Chetan (HVS) 3-2 — 6-11, 7-11, 11-7, 11-7, 11-8.

Boys U-13: M. Vihaan (ITTA) bt Srishiva Advik (PPTTA) 3-0 — 11-9, 12-10, 11-2. Girls: Yashasree Sil (SGUTTA) bt Aviyah (SGUTTA) 3-0 — 11-7, 11-4, 11-9.

Boys U-15: G. Pramaan (LFA) bt Virat Sagar (SGUTTA) 3-2 — 8-11, 4-11, 12-10, 11-8, 11-4. Girls: Avanthika (SPARS) bt S. Gayathri (GSM) 3-1 — 11-6, 11-6, 12-14, 11-5.
