“Jordan Love Got Christian Watson Injured”: NFL Fans Blame Packers QB for Throwing “Hospital Ball” As WR Heads to Hospital To Get Checked

The Green Bay Packers faced the Carolina Panthers in an NFC battle on TNF, with both teams seeking a bounce-back win after losses to the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, respectively.

However, in the second quarter, a deep ball from quarterback Jordan Love caused Christian Watson to sustain a chest injury, and he eventually left the game to go to the hospital for further evaluation, per the broadcast.

While the star wideout still managed to come down with the ball for a 53-yard gain, fans didn’t hold back on Love for throwing into double coverage and putting his receiver in danger.

The Packers are already facing an injury crisis, with star defensive end Micah Parsons still out this season; however, one backup player has caught quarterback Jordan Love’s attention for all the right reasons.

Center John Williams, in his second year in the league, stepped in for the Packers after starter Sean Rhyan sustained an injury. He had previously only taken snaps at left tackle during practice but filled in at center when the team needed him.

Love praised Williams’ performance in the postgame conference, saying:

“I thought John did a great job. Coming in not expecting that situation to happen with two guys going down. For a guy that hasn’t gotten a lot of reps, hasn’t taken a lot of center reps with us, it was just a great job by him being prepared, knowing the plan. Obviously, he’s making a lot of calls at center, and I thought he handled it really well, with the noise, the environment, everything.”

The Packers led the Panthers 20-10 after touchdowns from Matthew Golden, Tucker Kraft, and Josh Jacobs, and a missed PAT by kicker Trey Smack.
