Manchester United injury update: Carlos Baleba, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw latest news and return dates

Manchester United’s winless run was finally snapped before it got to ten matches on Tuesday as pressure eased on Michael Carrick.
The Red Devils looked as though they were beaten by Roma at Old Trafford in what would have been the latest plunge in their recent plight, but Matheus Cunha’s late double turned the game on its head to earn a dramatic 3-2 victory.
United suffered a fresh injury blow in that defeat, while fans vented their anger in the direction of the directors’ box, protesting the club’s ownership with balloons and tennis balls during the tie.
With that in mind, here is all the latest Manchester United injury news and potential return dates...
Injury blow: Carlos Baleba
The summer signing had been a rare shining light in what has otherwise been a miserable campaign for United so far.
The Cameroonian started alongside Kobbie Mainoo in the engine room for the first time, but saw his game curtailed just moments into the second half.
He pulled up in agony holding his hamstring, and was forced off immediately.
Post-match, Carrick said of the midfielder: “I haven't got any more news on Carlos at this stage, but obviously it looks like it's his hamstring," Carrick said.
"So we'll just have to assess what that looks like. I mean, initially, it doesn't look great. Timelines? I haven't got much more to give you."
Potential return date: Unknown
The England forward has been struggling with a niggling hip problem in recent weeks.
There had been hope that he could return to action against Chelsea or Roma, but he was in the squad for neither game.
Carrick mentioned ahead of the Roma clash that he would be closing in on a comeback this week, which could point towards a return this weekend.
Potential return date: Saturday, November 7 vs Aston Villa (H)
Left-back Shaw is still sidelined with a muscluar problem that he picked up in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham.
The England international is thought to be behind Rashford in terms of his own comeback trail, with Carrick confirming as such on Monday.
Potential return date: Sunday, November 22 vs Liverpool (A)
Striker Sesko has been ruled out until the new year with United still trying to solve his shin issues.
The Slovenian saw his debut season cut short by the injury, and he missed the start to this term with a similar problem.
It emerged last week that he would now be out for a further, elongated period.
“He's going to be out for a period of time,” Carrick said before the defeat by Chelsea. “We're not exactly sure yet how long, but it's going to be a significant amount of time, unfortunately.
“So I feel for Ben, he had the issue at the end of last season that we looked after and tried to give him as much time to recover and then unfortunately he's had the issue coming into this season.
“So, we've got to do what's best for Ben and he's going to have to have some time on the sidelines, unfortunately.
“It's not great for us, it's certainly not great for Ben, but it is part of the game and we've just got to try and make the best of it and get him back as quick as we can.”
Potential return date: January
Uruguay international Ugarte is set to be out for much of this season with a torn ACL that he sustained at the World Cup.
Potential return date: Summer 2027
