Pat Murphy, Brewers make 'SNL' appearance as World Series celebrations continue

It appears to be the year of sports champions celebrating on "Saturday Night Live."

A few weeks ago, before they tipped off their 2026-27 season, the New York Knicks took center stage as point guard Jalen Brunson hosted "SNL," featuring cameos from a few of his teammates. While their appearance wasn't as extensive, the new World Series champions have now done the same.

Pat Murphy, Christian Yelich and Brice Turang appeared during Saturday's show on the "Weekend Update" segment, each offering a line to the crowd.

Here's a look at the Brewers' appearance on "SNL."

MORE: How the Brewers built a World Championship roster with a low payroll

During the "Weekend Update" segment that airs weekly, host Colin Jost had a bit with a "drunk uncle" who thought maybe the World Series was all a dream — until Jost pointed out that the Brewers were standing right beside him.

Murphy, Yelich and Turang showed up with the trophy in hand, and Yelich assured the "drunk uncle" that it wasn't a dream.

"And we have something in common, drunk uncle," Turang said. "We've also been drinking since Wednesday."

Murphy chimed in, saying that as the Brewers' manager, he's "kind of like being the drunk uncle of the team." Yelich, as he has been throughout his MLB career, was then compared to former "SNL" star and comedian Pete Davidson.

The three Brewers members also appeared at the end of the show alongside host Inde Navarrette.

After hosting thousands of fans for their parade late last week, the Brewers' celebrations continued in New York City — and with a likely long offseason ahead, Milwaukee should have plenty of time to soak in its first World Series title.
