Reigning IBF minimumweight king Pedro “Kid Heneral” Taduran will put his world title on the line on November 8 (Philippine time) as he takes on undefeated Spanish challenger Brandon Moreno in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Taduran, who holds a record of 20-4-1, left for the United States on Wednesday and will head to Las Vegas, Nevada, to continue his preparations.
The Libon, Albay native enters the bout as the Philippines’ only reigning boxing world champion. He captured the IBF minimumweight crown in Japan in July 2024 and has since established himself as one of the country’s finest active boxers.
In his most recent title defense, the 29-year-old southpaw impressed in his US debut, scoring a technical knockout over Mexico’s Gustavo Perez Alvarez in Temecula, California.
Taduran will now look to record his fourth successful title defense and seventh consecutive victory.
