Ronald Anthony Marmol passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the age of 79. Ron was a talented engineer, a dedicated family man, and a lifelong sports fan who lived life with great energy and passion.

Born September 12, 1947, in Uniontown, Ron grew up in Smock, and went to Smock Elementary School. As a boy, he played Little League Baseball and earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He later graduated from Uniontown High School, where he played varsity football.

He had a long and successful career in the aerospace industry, working for 17 years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and later as a NASA contractor. He retired as a general manager and vice president of the Technology Division at Jacobs Engineering.

Ron loved to stay active and compete. Over the years, he enjoyed playing softball, tennis, and long-distance running. He was also a major road racing enthusiast. As an active member of the Porsche Club, he was happiest pushing limits at track events or spending hours out in his shop.

In 2016, Ron and his beloved wife, Suzanne, moved to their retirement home on Lake Oconee in Eatonton, Ga. They became faithful members of Christ Our Savior Catholic Church in Greensboro, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Marmol of Smock.
